Home party plans are my favorite way to build a network marketing business. And it’s one of the most underutilized techniques in network marketing today.
There are many reasons you should consider using home party plans to grow your Stream Cosmetic business.
Here are some of my favorite things about in-home parties.
• You Work Smart: It takes just as much time to demonstrate your products to one person as it does to ten clients.
• You Generate Prospects: Some of your attendees will be interested in booking in-home parties at their place. Additionally, other attendees might want to become distributors.
• It’s Fun: The home party plan is fun. Most people enjoy getting together with their friends to socialize and check out new and exciting products. It’s not something you do every day.
• Your Downline Can Do It: That’s right your downline can use the party plan too. Once you know what you are doing, you can teach them to do the same thing. Imagine what your business would look like if everyone in your downline did one in-home party per week!
• You Build Your Business Fast: Home party plans lets you build your business fast. You can achieve double or quadruple the results than you would if you were simply doing one-on-one presentations.
As you can see, there are many advantages to using home party plans in your network marketing business. Here are some keys to success.
• Be Organized: Rehearse ahead of time and make sure you have an agenda. Before you show up for the event, make sure you have enough products for demos and to sell to your customers. Limit the event to two hours.
• Focus On 10-20 Products: If your company has hundreds of products, pick your favorite 10-20 products and focus on those. You don’t want to overwhelm your attendees. Therefore, pick your favorite products (or the most profitable ones). REMEMBER TO UPSELL YOUR FULL LINE OF STREAM COSMETICS!!!
• Reward the Host: You need to give your host a good incentive to host a party. Offer her a percentage of the gross sales via a cash bonus or free products. Even if the party is a failure, make sure you reward the host.
• Coach the Host: Spend 30-45 minutes on the phone with your host well in advance, so you can give her tips on how to invite, how to set up for the party, etc. This will help improve your chances of success.
• Have an Inventory: Some people might disagree with this, but I think it is extremely important to have an inventory with you, so your customers don’t have to wait 5-10 days to get their orders. Although this will cost you some money up-front (maybe $1,000 to $2,000) you will get your money back quickly.
• Dress for Success: You don’t have to wear a suit and tie, but you should look neat and well dressed. You can either wear business attire, or a polo shirt (with your company name on it) and khakis.
• Make It Fun: I said this earlier, but I can’t stress this enough. People want to have fun. If you make the home party plan fun, people will want to book an event at their house or even become a distributor in your downline.
• Follow-Up: Make sure that you follow up with everyone in their attendance. The easiest way to do this is to have a sign-in sheet for all of your customers. Offer them an inexpensive free gift for their name, email and telephone number. Once you get this information, follow-up with each persona a couple days later to see how they are enjoying their products. You should also follow up once a month to get repeat orders.
In conclusion, the home party plan is one of the most effective ways to build a network marketing business. If you’ve never tried one before, you should.
